Happy New Year!

After Bailey and I had a deep and meaningful discussion this evening (I could say this is his thoughtful or listening face, but I'd be lying.  It is his "it's 6.30pm and it's time to go to bed" face.  Haha!) I've decided to can BAPs as 2022's phrase of the year.  Instead, I've decided Squirrel! needs to go into a consolidation phase.  So, it will be my WOTY for the second year in a row.  Practice is important.  lol

It may have had something to do with this pile of too small scraps to be of much use in the string quilt....

......or petting these sets of four hexis.  Glue basting these is a middle of the night project.  They're made from scraps.  Surprise!  lol Anything this small is always glue basted.

.....or auditioning fabrics....

....to make this little beauty from Sarah Fielke and Amy Lobsiger.  The flowe center is cut, the ricrac is waiting and the freezer paper is pressed to the fabric for the leaves.

Whatever the reason, Squirrel! just feels like the right word.

There will be BAPs in there, too.  This is the start of a BAP....rearranging the Pit of Doom.  Started with bagging the too small scraps for a Mile A Minute quilt.  A small start is still a start.
