In a case of outright bribery, I promised myself I would start a new quilted something or other when the fabric stash was organized.  These were pulled as I organized.

An idea of making something with dresden flowers has been floating around in my head for a while.

When half a flower test block was made, i started wondering if the fabrics would go together.  Nope, don't like it, so the background fabric is out.

As I sewed, the green and yellow had less appeal.

So they all went back in the stash and the blue came out instead.  Much better!  There's enough of that and  the orange to make a small runner.

This die was used for the petals.

This die for the fabric....

.....and this one for the templates.

Ready to go.  Just need a dot of Elmer's glue stick to hold them in place.

They were fun to make.

48 are ready for turning and pressing.  I'm having fun with this make it up as i go project.  The current plan is to make a little runner with five flowers to sit in front of the fireplace.

I managed to accidentally delete my last post before I could reply to the comments.  To the people who left the lovely comments...thank you!

Playing catch up.

Added the trim to Melissa's May Basket Trifle.  😁

The stitching on the No L Sampler was finished, so it took no time to finish it as a goodie bag.  Icord candy canes with metal wire cores are next.

The crooked top of the bag is really bugging me.  It won't take long to fix.  I know I have until December to do it, there's a distinct possibility that it will be forgotten about, so it's on the to do soon list.

Getting the lurex fabric to sparkle was semi successful.  This one only needed a few stitches on the border, where I'd missed a bit, then it was  made into a mini wall hanging.

So glad this one is finished.  It kept being put in time out because I didn't want to deal with silly errors.  Eventually bribed myself with French knots at the end to get the rest of the stitching finished.

And Love Grows by Melissa.  It's stitched on the back of a scrap of 28 count Belfast linen.

Bewitching Ingredients by Blackbird Designs is finished.  It's stitched on 32 count linen with floss from deep stash.

Eye of Newt is also finished.  I tossed a variegated DMC floss into some tea to darken it

Finally got the ends woven in on a pair of fingerless mitts in some lovely soft merino from stash.  I made the hand and wrist long.  The yarn is discontinued - It's Filatura Di Crosa's Zara merino extra fine.  There's 45 grams (1.5 oz) left, hopefully enough to make one of Arne and  Carlos' birds.

Cast on a new pair of socks in Regia by Shachenmayr.  It's the first time I've used this brand.

The only thing that needs doing on the other pair is graft the toes on the second sock.
