It may only be a drink coaster, but it's a start!  My quilting mojo has finally come back.

DH has given the tick of approval for his birthday quilt.  He would like it in similar colors, which means fabric shopping.....yay!

The quilt is called Winter Break and is from this book.  It came out in 2010 and I was lucky enough to snag a vendor copy, along with another 8 quilting books for $5 each at Elizabeth's (a second hand book store in Perth) about 9 years ago.  None of them had been opened.  They all retailed between $35 and $45.  They padded out my quilt book library very nicely!

I've just finished the annual yarn toss (sorting, not throwing it out 😁).  Apart from giving everything a tidy up, it also reminds me what I have.  This time had a lovely surprise.  I thought I'd used all my Cleckheatons stash.  It's the last of my Australian wool, so when I work out the total meterage/yardage, I'll dye it and (fingers crossed), I'll have enough for a cardigan, otherwise it will become a shawl.

The pompom trim was added to this on the weekend and it went up as part of my summer display.  I used Aleene's Tacky Glue for the first time and I'm a convert. No more stitching trims down by hand.
